Is India Internally Secure? |
Chanakya, one of the greatest statesmen and strategists that Bharat ever produced, advised Chandragupt Maurya, king of Magadh, not to sleep in the same bedroom in the royal palace for two consecutive nights. By effecting an unscheduled shifting, the king defeated designs of internal enemies of the State to create chaos through assassination of the king. The king was an embodiment of security in the kingdom. Maintenance of this kind of internal securuty was indeed conducive to successfully defending the state from external threats or aggression. Maharaja Sir Hari Singh, the ruler of Jammu and Kashmir, was wavering on the issue of accession of his state to India or Pakistan in 1947. The trends showed a tilt towards India, thanks to behind-the scene-efforts of nationalistic forces. The pro-Pakistan elements tried to eliminate His Highness by conspiring to bring down the roof of the dak bungalow where Sir Hari Singh was scheduled to rest for the night while touring the border areas. Luckily for him, following Kautilya’s Arthashastra, His Highness had changed his resting place at the last moment. He thus survived an attempted assassination. A situation of probable chaos and internal disorder was avoided.

AUM BHU, AUM BHUVAH, AUM SWAHA AUM MAHA, AUM JANAH, AUM TAPAH, AUUM SATYAM AUM sit in the part, every part of my mind and fill the body, with breath divine AUM shall then I sing, at every moment with every breath, with body and mind
AUM shall I see , in the mirror of mind holding the life, in the universe divine joys and sorrows, will vanish away when shall I dwell , in the God Divine
AUM dwell deep, inside my mind enlighten the lamp,in temple of mind the crises of life, may come my way but terrible despairs, won't carry me away
AUM enter deep inside my heart fill me with BLISS,and make me laugh let me then make whole world to laugh driving poverty and sorrows away from all
AUM's virtues, may I sing all the time and concentrate on HIM , with pure mind the vigour and wisdom, shall rise all the time the prominent virtues, may fill my mind
AUM ! shall I call, at every moment and leave not AUM, for any reason AUM ! be my hunger, be my thirst AUM ! be the hope , of body and mind
AUM is the absolute benefactor AUM is the ultimate Happiness, let AUM become, the aim of life for Each and Every one of us.

If we can resolve this Mystery of Soul (The Spirit), the Nature & the God (Atma, Prakriti & Parmatma), our life will become worth living. At present the soul (The Spirit) is unable to distinguish clearly between the three and hence remains bewildered and can't understand, what is to be done, what is to be achieved and how to achieve.
Soul Takes Nature to be Every-thing It calls the body made from Nature as itself, takes the pleasures extracted from Nature (in fact the Creation) as the real pleasures, takes Nature to be the ultimate source of all happiness. With this view in mind the pleasures of life can only be as regular as the life is. The irregularities faced in life bring havoc. It's like considering an automatic electric driven machine to be self sufficient and forgetting to have & to keep good connection with the main source of electric supply. The result is interruptions in the derived comforts.

On the importance and sanctity of Yajna in the Vedic texts |
If we look back in Indian history, we find that the ancient Rishis performed Yajnas and in order to ensure un-interrupted Yajna, Rishi Vishwamitra went to the court of the king Dashratha to seek the help of Ram and Laxman to guard against the evil forces which interfered in the performance of the Yajna. In the Ramayana, we come across various episodes where the warriors took recourse to Yajnas to attain prowess, for example Ram who guarded the Yajna for Rishi Vishwamitra was asked to disrupt the Yajna undertaken by Meghnad because he intended to please the goddess Nikumbhala to attain the boon of becoming unconquerable (ajeya) since he was fighting for adharma i.e non-virtuous, cruel and characterless ends. |

10 Principles of Arya Samaj |

God is the efficient cause of all true knowledge and all that is known through knowledge.God is existent, intelligent and blissful. He is formless, omniscient, just, merciful, unborn, endless, unchangeable, beginning-less, unequalled, the support of all, the master of all, omnipresent, immanent, un-aging, immortal, fearless, eternal and holy, and the maker of all. He alone is worthy of being worshiped. The Vedas are the scriptures of all true knowledge. It is the paramount duty of all Aryas to read them, teach them , recite them and to hear them being read. One should always be ready to accept truth and to renounce untruth. All acts should be performed in accordance with Dharma that is, after deliberating what is right and wrong. The prime object of the Arya Samaj is to do good to the world, that is, to promote physical, spiritual and social good of everyone. Our conduct towards all should be guided by love, righteousness and justice. We should dispel Avidya (ignorance) and promote Vidya (knowledge). No one should be content with promoting his/her good only; on the contrary, one should look for his/her good in promoting the good of all.One should regard oneself under restriction to follow the rules of society calculated to promote the well being of all, while in following the rules of individual welfare all should be free. |
