 "Jo Bole So Abhay; Vaidik Dharm Ki Jai" – that was the slogan raised after Purnaahuti by no less a person than the kulpati himself. Prof. Swatantra Kumar, Vice – Chancellor of Gurukul Kangari Vishwavidyalaya , Haridwar, indeed carried out his duties as the head of the family in promoting Vedic Dharm through and through. The august occasion was the international Vedic conference organized by the Ved Vibhag of the Gurukul Kangri University. About a thousand souls, I hasten to add that they were all embodied, had assembled from far and wide covering the proverbial seven seas. Both the New World and Old World of the Mother Earth were well represented. In the liberal traditions of the Vedic philosophy, subscribers to various schools of interpretation of the Vedas had been invited to put forward their views, irrespective of the fact whether they were in consonance with the Arya Samaj school of thought or not. Of course, scholars belonging to the Vedic traditions started by Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati were more articulate than the rest.
